Maharashtra | January 2026
A total of 3,896 candidates have cleared the MahaRERA Real Estate Agent Examination, conducted on 15 December 2025, as per the qualified candidates list released under the Phase 8 result process.
This places the latest examination cycle among the more sizeable qualification batches in recent periods and reflects continued participation in Maharashtra’s agent certification framework.
Beyond the Headcount
The figure does not imply that all 3,896 candidates will immediately begin active brokerage practice. However, it does indicate sustained engagement with the regulatory process at a time when compliance expectations for agents have tightened across the state.
In markets such as Mumbai, Thane, and the wider MMR, examination-based qualification is increasingly treated as a baseline requirement rather than a procedural formality.
A Gradual Shift in the Brokerage Landscape
MahaRERA’s agent examination framework aims to establish minimum regulatory literacy around disclosures, documentation, and professional conduct. The clearance of nearly four thousand candidates in a single cycle suggests incremental progress toward that objective.
The long-term impact, however, will depend on how qualified agents apply these standards in live transactions across resale, rental, and primary market dealings.
Result Status and Certificate Update
The result for the 15 December 2025 examination is currently under processing on the MahaRERA website and will be reflected on the authority’s portal in due course.
The Passing Certificate / Certificate of Competency is expected to be circulated digitally by MSSU / TCS / MahaRERA via registered email IDs after the completion of post-result processing. Candidates should track official portal updates and email communication for confirmation and download instructions.
How Candidates Can Verify Their Result
Candidates are advised to follow these steps to confirm their status through official channels:
- Visit the official MahaRERA website and navigate to the Real Estate Agent examination or results section.
- Log in to the exam or candidate dashboard using registered credentials.
- Check the result status and qualification details once the authority completes processing.
- Monitor the registered email ID for certificate communication and download instructions.
Note: Only the status displayed on the official portal and authority communication should be treated as final.
Industry Context
A steady flow of exam-qualified agents helps raise the baseline of brokerage conduct. For buyers and property owners, it improves the likelihood of dealing with intermediaries familiar with disclosure obligations and documentation discipline. For the industry, it marks continued movement away from informal practices toward regulated agency structures.
Progress remains uneven, but the direction remains consistent.
